Question: What is the double bind Bateson?

A double bind is a dilemma in communication in which an individual (or group) receives two or more reciprocally conflicting messages. Double bind theory was first described by Gregory Bateson and his colleagues in the 1950s, in a theory on the origins of schizophrenia and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Why is double-blind bad?

2. Active placebos can interfere with the results. Double-blind studies respond to the objections of researchers unintentionally when communicating information about the results of a pill being authentic or a placebo. Objections to the pill offering this information dont exist with this structure.
