Question: Does NuvaRing fall out easily?

NuvaRing can slip or accidentally come out of (be expelled from) your vagina during sexual intercourse, bowel movements, use of tampons, or if it breaks. NuvaRing may break, causing the ring to lose its shape. If the ring stays in your vagina, this should not lower NuvaRings effectiveness at preventing pregnancy.

How do I stop my NuvaRing from slipping?

Simply take the Nuvaring that has fallen out and rinse it clean with cool-to-lukewarm water (not hot). Wash and dry your hands. Then, reinsert the same NuvaRing as soon as possible. Now, this is important: make sure that you reinsert your NuvaRing within three hours of it falling out.

Can NuvaRing fall out without knowing?

It shouldnt happen often, but sometimes the NuvaRing might slip out of your vagina. But dont freak out — you can still prevent pregnancy.

Can the birth control ring fall out?

Most girls dont feel the ring after its in place. Vaginal muscles hold the ring in place, so its unlikely that it will fall out. If it does, it can be rinsed under cool water (not hot) and put back in within 3 hours.
