Question: Which one is the Andalusian Dog referred to in the title?

The title refers to a Spanish expression: “An Andalusian dog howls –someone has died”. Other than catching the sinister mood of this production, the title is largely meaningless. The two collaborators who made Un Chien Andalou were the artist Salvador Dali and the future film-maker, Luis Buñuel.

Is lighting part of cinematography or mise-en-scène?

When applied to the cinema, mise-en-scène refers to everything that appears before the camera and its arrangement—composition, sets, props, actors, costumes, and lighting. Mise-en-scène also includes the composition, which consists of the positioning and movement of actors, as well as objects, in the shot.
